Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor (Montgomery County, PA)

CDR Maguire Inc., a national multi-disciplinary engineering firm, is seeking an experienced Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor for projects around the Montgomery County, PA area, PennDOT District 6, for the upcoming 2025 construction season. Immediate consideration for qualified candidates.

Relocation or sponsorship is not available. Local candidates are highly desirable.

The Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor (TCIS) is responsible for consulting with contractors, engineers, job superintendents, and others regarding plans, specifications, materials, equipment, and safety precautions involved in construction. The TCIS prepares daily reports, maintains progress schedules, checks shop drawings, verifies quantities and costs, and may supervise inspectors.

Essential Functions:

• Ensure contractor compliance with contract documents and safety plans
• Verify materials conform to specifications
• Check contractor layout and accuracy
• Prepare and submit daily work reports
• Communicate effectively in oral and written forms
• Utilize computers and office equipment
• Perform physical activities such as bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and working in various weather conditions
• Wear required PPE and react to hazards

Other Principal Duties:

• Travel as required
• Maintain a positive attitude and professionalism
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

High school diploma, GED, or higher; ability to read, write, communicate in English, and perform basic math. Preferred certifications include:

• BS in Civil Engineering
• NICET Level 2 or higher in Transportation/Highway Construction
• NECEPT Bituminous Field Certification
• ACI/PennDOT Concrete Field Technician Certification
• PennDOT/PTC CDS Certification
• ECMS experience
• OSHA 10-Hour Certification
