Job summary
TRC Companies, Inc. seeks an experienced Transportation Construction Inspection Supervisor to oversee inspection teams on highway projects in West Virginia. You will manage staff, review schedules, and coordinate with clients to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
With a strong background in highway construction inspections and certifications, you will lead plan reviews, change orders, and timely project closeouts while representing TRC at key client meetings and on-site engagements.
Qualifications
- Certification in WV TRET IV/V or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- WV TRET III plus 3 years highway construction experience.
- AS or BS degree with related highway construction experience.
- NICET Level IV or equivalent with 10 years of highway work.
Responsibilities
- Provide Construction Management support for Highway Transportation Projects.
- Manage Construction Inspection staff and document construction work.
- Review Contractor's schedules and progress.
- Represent TRC at client meetings and site visits.
- Review plans and records; initiate change orders and extensions.
- Ensure timely closeout of project and certification of materials.

Our assignments include small and medium-sized bridges, culverts, railroad grade separations, viaducts, and major water crossings in both rural and urban environments.
We have an immediate need for an experienced Transportation Construction Inspection Supervisor for various projects located throughout West Virginia.
- Provide Construction Management support for Highway Transportation Construction Projects
- Manage Construction Inspection staff and document construction work
- Review Contractor's schedules
- Represent TRC at client meetings
- Review plans and records, initiate change orders, prepare time extensions and other related tasks necessary to ensure successful completion of project
- Ensure timely closeout of project including certification of materials
Candidates must have ONE of the following:
- Current WV TRET Level IV or V Certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment
- Current WV TRET Level III Certification plus 3 years of technical experience related to the highway construction industry
- AS Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or similar technical degree, plus five (5) years of technical experience related to the highway construction industry
- BS Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or similar technical degree
- Level IV NICET Certification plus ten (10) years of technical experience related to the highway construction industry
- AASHTOWare Project
- CPM Schedule Reviews
- WVDOH Materials Certifications in Soil-Aggregate Compaction, Portland Cement Concrete Inspection and/or Asphalt Field Compaction.
- ACI Field Testing Certification

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
