Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required for the position.
• Experience working independently and within a team is essential.
• Entry-level candidates will be trained on construction inspection processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor contractors for quality control.
• Inspect and monitor excavation and construction work.
• Schedule work and inspections with contractor personnel.
• Maintain project records, including daily diaries and materials notebooks.

Skills

High School diploma or equivalent

Fluent in spoken and written English language

0-6 years of highway construction experience

Working knowledge of construction methods

Required VDOT Certifications

Nuclear Gauge Safety Training

OSHA 10 Hour Training
