Job summary

AMT Engineering is looking for a Construction Inspector in Fredericksburg, VA to support transportation projects. You will verify work done according to specifications and act as a liaison between VDOT and contractors.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of transportation construction experience, ideally within Virginia.
• Required certifications preferred; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Verification of all work performed in accordance with plans & contractual specifications.
• Measurement & verification of quantities, dimensions & specifications.
• Act as a liaison between VDOT and the prime contractor.

Skills

3+ years of transportation construction experience

Experience with paving, roadway and bridge construction inspection

Ability to work independently and within a team

Valid driver’s license

Willingness to work night, overtime, weekends
