Job summary

LJA Transportation is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector II to manage DOT and local government transportation contracts, including roadways, bridges, and other structures. Travel to active job sites and collaborate with engineers and contractors is expected.

The role requires 5–10 years in highway construction inspection and a strong safety/ professional demeanor, with eligibility for TxDOT/site manager credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years experience as an inspector for highway construction.
• Ability to work on active jobsite safely and proficiently.
• Ability to represent LJA and its clients professionally.

Responsibilities

• Monitor testing of construction materials.
• Compile project documents and daily logs.
• Maintain detailed project records including weather conditions, time charges, daily quantities, and contractor resources.
• Communicate with contractors, developers, and engineers for job performance.
