Job summary

CDR Maguire is seeking Transportation Construction Inspectors for the 2027 season in PennDOT District 2, with projects in Elk, Clearfield and Centre counties. The TCI will consult with contractors, engineers, and job superintendents on plans, materials, and safety, and will prepare daily progress reports and pay requests.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, drivers license, and two years of transportation construction experience preferred; graduates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or post-secondary education.
• Two years of transportation, highway, or bridge construction experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Certifications listed in the qualifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the contract documents by the contractor.
• Prepare and submit daily reports of work performed and maintain progress records.
• Check plans, materials, quantities, and contractor's layout for accuracy.
• Travel as required around PennDOT District 12, Washington County as directed.
• Provide clear oral and written communication and enforce safety plans.
