Job summary

Kleinfelder Construction Services is seeking experienced Construction Inspectors (Civil/Roadway, Structure, Electrical) to support transportation projects across Southern California. The role includes field inspection, reporting, and coordination with Resident Engineers to ensure quality and compliance.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of civil/roadway inspection experience, a BS in Civil Engineering or EIT, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in civil/roadway or structure, or electrical construction inspection of transportation projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality assurance inspection and documentation of construction activities under the direction of a Resident Engineer.
• Interpret plans, specifications, and codes to verify that construction work is performed in accordance with them.
• Prepare detailed Daily Inspection Reports with photos reflecting construction progress.
• Measure, calculate, track, and record pay quantities for monthly estimates.
• Maintain a safe work environment and comply with safety rules and procedures.
• Maintain field as-built drawings and assist the Resident Engineer with change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
