Qualifications

• High School Diploma or State Equivalency Certificate; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 3+ years of hands-on construction inspection experience with roadway, bridge, utility construction and pavement rehabilitation.
• Proficiency in interpreting plans, specifications, and technical drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Comfortable working night shifts and overtime as required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contractor operations to ensure contract compliance with documents, designs, and permits.
• Coordinate inspection activities across multiple active work crews.
• Track daily work quantities and complete inspection documentation.
• Prepare daily reports, monthly estimates, and as-built drawings.
• Conduct field inspections and materials testing; maintain testing logs.
• Review and validate contractor pay estimates.
• Support project engineers with field data, sketches, and reports.
• Maintain project diaries and document deficiencies or field issues.
• Review contractor schedules (CPM and monthly updates).
• Communicate with engineers, owners, and stakeholders for alignment and transparency.
• Uphold a proactive, solution-oriented approach throughout construction.
