A. Morton Thomas & Associates, Inc. (AMT, Inc.) is hiring Construction Inspectors in the Transportation sector to support projects throughout the VDOT Fredericksburg District and surrounding areas of Northern Neck and Saluda Residencies. Interested applicants must possess a valid driver’s license, be available for night work, overtime, and weekends as needed, be capable of working independently and in a team, and be subject to a background check. Preferred experience includes paving, roadway, and bridge construction inspection and records keeping.

Responsibilities

1. Verify that all work performed complies with plans and contractual specifications.
2. Measure and verify quantities, dimensions, and specifications.
3. Act as a liaison between VDOT and the prime contractor.

Qualifications

1. 3+ years of transportation construction experience, ideally within Virginia.
2. Required certifications are preferred; however, class enrollment for certifications will be provided for candidates with applicable construction inspection experience.
