Job description

A. Morton Thomas & Associates, Inc. (AMT, Inc.) is hiring Transportation Construction Inspectors to support a variety of construction and maintenance tasks throughout the Northern Virginia region of Locally Administered Projects.

Interested applicants must possess a valid driver’s license, be available to work at night, overtime, and/or weekends as needed, be capable of working independently and within a team, and be subject to a background check. Candidates must be able to perform field inspection duties, maintain project records including compiling daily field reports, maintaining the project materials notebook, and generating monthly estimates.

Responsibilities

• Verification that all work performed complies with plans & contractual specifications
• Measurement & verification of pay quantities, dimensions & specifications
• Act as a liaison between LAP program administrators and the prime contractor

Qualifications

• 3+ years of transportation construction experience, ideally within the State of Virginia
• Preference for candidates with all VDOT certifications
• Candidates holding partial VDOT certifications will be considered depending on previous project experience
