Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a civil engineering intern for our Indianapolis office as part of the Summer Internship Program. This full-time, 12-week internship runs May 17, 2027, with flexible start dates.

You will work alongside senior staff, gaining hands-on exposure to transportation projects, fieldwork, preliminary design calculations, and documentation while developing technical, social, and ethical skills.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering undergraduate or related program.
• Demonstrated interest in Transportation Design or related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engineer/non-engineer audiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Support preparation of final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
