LJA Engineering, Inc. is offering a Civil Engineering Intern position in Austin, TX. This in-person internship runs from mid-May through early August, 40 hours per week, with mentorship from experienced professionals.

As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on design support, site visits, and exposure to real-world projects while developing technical and professional skills to launch your career in transportation engineering.

Qualifications

• Completed at least one year of college and pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Strong work ethic and motivation to learn in a professional environment.
• Good organizational and written/oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering assignments with direction from experienced engineers.
• Shadow operations to learn project phases and daily workflows.
• Handle unique assignments supporting larger projects and participate in team activities.
• Engage in culture and professional development activities and networking events.
