Job summary

LJA Transportation in Houston, TX is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to support transportation projects during our Summer Internship Program. You will work with experienced engineers on real-world tasks in a fully in-person 40-hour-per-week schedule.

The internship offers hands-on project experience, site visits, mentorship, and professional development, with opportunities to learn about the firm’s sectors, ESOP culture, and collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have completed at least one year of college.
• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering assignments with direction from experienced engineers.
• Shadow operations and learn about project phases.
• Take on unique assignments supporting larger projects and daily engineering tasks.
• Learn about our sectors and services through social engagement activities.
