Ohio Department of Transportation is seeking a Transportation Engineer 1/Transportation Civil Engineer (TCE) for the Construction Department in Akron, Ohio. This role includes a 12-month training plan with rotations through Planning & Engineering, Construction and Highway Maintenance.

New hires will train under seasoned ODOT engineers and gain hands-on transportation experience to advance their career within the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and eligibility to take the EIT exam.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.
• Background check required for employment.

Responsibilities

• Receive an introduction to the three core civil engineering disciplines.
• Work alongside ODOT professional engineers.
• Gain hands-on transportation training and experience.
