Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Civil Engineer - Transportation to provide engineering expertise in environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, and technical guidance for District 8-0. You will evaluate permits, review drawings and calculations, and support hazardous materials and stormwater control measures while coordinating with staff and agencies.

The role emphasizes strong environmental procedures, training, and collaboration with consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or approved equivalent.
• Engineer-in-Training certificate or higher required/acceptable by PA Board.
• Experience with environmental permitting and regulatory processes preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead permit reviews to ensure environmental requirements are met.
• Provide technical analyses of drawings, calculations, and reports for permit applications.
• Support environmental compliance, including hazardous materials and waste handling guidance.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff, consultants and agencies to implement environmental procedures.
• Assist with MS4/stormwater oversight through inspections and training.
• Provide training and guidance on environmental procedures to district personnel.
