Job summary

EXP in Florida is seeking a Project Administrator to lead transportation construction administration, coordinate CEI activities, and ensure project delivery aligned with FDOT standards. Candidates should hold an engineering degree or related field; a Florida PE is preferred.

Two years of relevant transportation experience are required, with a master’s degree substituting one year of experience. An eight-year alternative pathway is also noted for non-engineering candidates.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree preferred; construction management or related field acceptable.
• Active Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Master’s degree may substitute for one year of required experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent acceptable with extended CEI/transport experience.
• Minimum two years of engineering experience on transportation projects; eight years alternative path for non-degree.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all phases of Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) construction administration.
• Direct and assign work to administrative and field staff.
• Provide leadership and guidance throughout transportation construction projects.
• Prepare, review, and manage progress estimates and final estimates.
• Exercise independent judgment and initiative in resolving project-related issues and challenges.
• Ensure compliance with FDOT standards, specifications, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and construction records.
• Communicate effectively with FDOT representatives, contractors, consultants, and project team members.
