Responsibilities

• Monitor bus safety and student supervision during transportation.
• Assist with student supervision and behavior management toward a safe environment.
• Complete reports and records as required by district procedures.
• Maintain required training certificates (First Aid/CPR).

Hours: 3.75 hours per day

Calendar: 185 days per year (August-June)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with students of various ages and abilities.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions; make entries on reports and records.
• Must be able to maintain all training certificates related to First Aid/CPR administration. Must possess a current Oregon Operator’s License issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles.
• Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish preferred.
• Upon selection, employees will be required to pay for the following: $12.50 fingerprinting fee and $75 ODE fingerprinting processing fee.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• $20.02-$28.91 per hour. Dependent on approved accepted experience/education.
• Annual COLA pay increase (as negotiated with Oregon Association of Classified Employees).
• Annual step pay increase awarded to eligible employees.
• 6 paid holidays per year.
• 2 personal days per year.
• 10 paid sick leave days per year.
• Bereavement leave, as per bargaining agreement.
• Continuing Education Funds, up to $1,200 per year.
• 6% employee paid contribution towards Oregon Public Employees Retirement System.
• Longevity Service Stipend after 10 years of employment ($1,000-$1,600).
