Job summary

Mansfield Township School District in Mansfield Township, NJ is seeking Transportation Aide(s) to assist the bus driver, help students boarding and exiting, and support safety on routes.

These part-time, 10-month positions pay $16.15 per hour. Applicants must read and write, be in good health, understand bus safety and pass background checks with proof of U.S. citizenship or legal residency.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist the bus driver in maintaining student conduct on the bus.
• Assist young students in getting on and off the bus.
• Provide written records of violations of student code to the building principal.
• Provide instruction to students regarding passenger safety and ensure that students wear their seat belts when the bus is so equipped.
• Participate in scheduled emergency bus exit drills.
• Check to be sure that all students have been dropped off, and no passengers remain on the bus at the end of the bus route.
• Assist the bus driver in keeping the bus clean

Terms of Employment

Position to begin: ASAP

10 Months; Part Time; Approximately 1-½ hour for both the AM and PM bus runs

Rate of Pay: $16.15 per hour; All rates of pay are based upon the current Collective Bargaining Agreement
