Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) seeks an administrative professional to support order processing, payroll, procurement and transportation-related duties. The role requires strong computer skills and the ability to organize data and communicate effectively.

Starting salary ranges from $42,000 to $52,500 annually with annual bonus eligibility, paid vacation, holidays, 401(k) with employer match and comprehensive benefits beginning within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook and Excel.
• Experience organizing data and supporting multiple functions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical thinker with good problem-solving abilities.
• Experience administering safety programs and/or training.
• Experience in an office environment supporting manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist one or more staff with order processing, payroll, material procurement and administrative tasks related to transportation.
• Compile, organize and coordinate data and activities across functional areas.
• Learn, follow and apply procedures, policies and software for relevant areas.
• Perform routine data entry, prepare materials for internal/external customers, and coordinate vendor service calls.
