Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems seeks a Transport Services Tech Lead to oversee safe, efficient large-vehicle transport operations at US-AR-Hampton. You will coordinate cargo movement, ensure compliance with DOT regulations, and collaborate with dispatchers to meet schedules.

The role requires a CDL-A with hazmat, 5–7 years of experience in transport operations, and a strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and equipment checks. On-site work with occasional shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education / or Experience.
• CDL-A with hazmat endorsement required.

Responsibilities

• Operates a large or heavy truck to transport cargo to/from locations on time and per schedule.
• Drives safely and follows DOT and company safety regulations.
• Performs pre-departure inspections to ensure vehicle condition.
• Manages cargo documentation and provides paperwork upon delivery.
• Coordinates loading/unloading and ensures proper securing of cargo.
• Maintains communication with dispatcher for status updates and delays.
