Job summary

Eastern, family owned for over 90 years, is seeking a delivery driver to safely transport liquid propane to storage depots and industrial customers across New England. You will operate a commercial vehicle and assist with tank movements while maintaining a strong safety record.

You bring a high school diploma or equivalent, 21+ years old, and a valid state CDL with appropriate endorsements. DOT testing and a clean driving history are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Age 21 years or older.
• Valid state license for size vehicle and endorsements.
• Submit to and pass DOT physical examination.
• Submit to and pass DOT drug and alcohol tests.
• Proven history of a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle to transport liquid fuel products in all weather conditions and day or night.
• Tow flatbed to assist residential and commercial tank movements company wide.
• Unload liquid fuel using up to 60 feet of 3-inch hose.
• Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle inspection and comply with state/federal motor vehicle laws.
• Assist Rail Terminal Operators and Industrial Operations with rail car unloading duties as needed.

About this opportunity

This position will ensure the safe delivery of liquid propane via transport tanker to our storage depots and to our Industrial customers located throughout Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.

What your role will look like

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle to transport liquid fuel products in every weather condition and at any time, day or night.
• Operate a commercial motor vehicle while towing flatbed to assist operations in residential and commercial tank movements company wide.
• Unload liquid fuel products from transport vehicle, which includes connecting up to 60 feet of three-inch diameter delivery hose.
• Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle inspection, operate company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, and remain in compliance with state/federal motor vehicle laws.
• Assist the Rail Terminal Operators and Industrial Operations team with rail car unloading duties whenever deemed necessary.

What you’ll bring to this role

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Age requirement of 21 years old.
• Licensure/Certification:
• Valid state license for size vehicle and appropriate endorsements.
• Submit to and pass Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
• Submit to and pass Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol tests.
