Job summary

Thermo King is hiring a Refrigeration Technician II in Fort Worth, TX to service transport refrigeration equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose basic refrigeration issues, and install or remove Thermo King units.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED, one year of experience with TK certification in progress, and own tools. The role requires basic computer skills, ability to work overtime, and knowledge of 12VDC/ Ohm’s Law fundamentals.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
One year of experience and TK certification or in process of TK certification.
Mechanical background with trade school or related education preferred.
Basic computer skills and knowledge required.
Must have own tools: DVOM, gauges, hand tools, power tools, etc.
Ability to perform basic math skills.
Ability to work overtime as required.
Understanding refrigeration and 12VDC/ Ohm’s Law fundamentals.

Responsibilities

Perform Preventive Maintenance on trailers, trucks, and APUs.
Basic refrigeration skills and diagnosis: leak check, recovery, evacuation, charging.
Replace components such as belts, hoses, batteries, starters, alternators.
Basic electrical skills and diagnosis using DVOM and other tools.
Battery maintenance and diagnosis.
Install/remove Thermo King refrigeration units.
Use computer/laptop to apply and complete work orders and read service documents/schematics.
Maintain clean and organized work area and tools.
Follow safety policies and wear PPE.
