Job summary

Techner Ltd in the United States is seeking experienced Transport & Interconnect Network Engineers with strong expertise in CND Granite systems to support large-scale Verizon network projects. The role focuses on circuit engineering, provisioning, and lifecycle management across transport and interconnect networks.

You will design, activate, and optimize telecom infrastructure, coordinate with NOC and field teams, maintain accurate circuit inventory in Granite, and ensure compliance with Verizon

Qualifications

• Proven experience in transport and interconnect network engineering within telecom environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise with CND Granite (circuit design, inventory management, and service activation).
• Solid understanding of circuit provisioning, design, and grooming across fiber and optical transport networks.
• Working knowledge of SONET, DWDM, and Ethernet transport technologies.
• Experience with network inventory management, documentation, and telecom standards (Verizon experience preferred).

Responsibilities

• Engineer and provision transport and interconnect circuits across Verizon network infrastructure.
• Utilize CND Granite for circuit design, inventory management, and service activation.
• Perform circuit path analysis, grooming, and validation to maintain network integrity.
• Coordinate with NOC, provisioning, and field teams for network builds, migrations, and issue resolution.
• Maintain accurate circuit inventory, documentation, and records within Granite systems.
• Support troubleshooting of transport failures and service impairments across backbone and interconnect networks.
• Ensure compliance with Verizon engineering standards and telecom best practices.
• Assist in capacity planning and network optimization initiatives.
• Validate end-to-end circuit connectivity across fiber and transport layers.
