Job Description

Sign on Bonus: $2000 sign on bonus ($1000 payable after 60 days and $1000 paid after 120 days of employment)

Factory Location: Poland, ME
Compensation: $33.16 / hour
Shift differential: 6%-8% of base hourly rate paid for applicable hours worked (locations vary)

Schedule: Night Shift
Ability to work holidays and weekends per business needs

This position is responsible for safe and reliable transport of company products to pre-assigned distribution points. All routes are local and home daily!

Skills Required:

1. Act as a team player by supporting the team with decisions and helping others when needed
2. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
3. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
4. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and plant personnel
5. Complete all DOT required documents and reports following required laws and standards
6. Ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local, and company operating requirements
7. Follow company water quality testing procedures
8. Load and unload trailers safely
9. Maintain a clean and safe vehicle
10. Maintain accurate driving logs, inventory, and records
11. Operate forklift safely to unload and reload trailer with company products
12. Be courteous, outgoing, and always maintain a professional image
13. Protect company assets by securing product loads before and during transport
14. Understand and maintain load and freight weight requirements
15. Other duties as assigned by Regional Transportation Manager

Qualifications

Requirements / Qualifications:

1. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
2. Must be 21 years of age or older (DOT requirement)
3. Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
4. Tanker endorsement preferred or required at the time of hire
5. Minimum two years commercial tractor / semi-trailer driving experience, minimum 100,000 pound GVW preferred
6. Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
7. Ability to read and interpret information such as driving routes, safety rules, sales tickets, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
8. Ability to sit, stand, push, pull, climb ladders, walk all day, and move/lift objects weighing up to 75 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
9. Ability to work independently, efficiently, and in several types of weather
10. Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently
11. Experience operating a sit down forklift and/or pallet jack preferred
