Job summary

Arcadia Care is seeking a Temporary Transportation Driver to safely transport patients to and from hospitals, clinics, dialysis centers and residences, providing professional service and ensuring resident comfort.

The role emphasizes patient safety, adherence to safety standards, and maintaining the vehicle and related paperwork. Prior driving experience with similar responsibilities is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Active Illinois Driver’s License, meeting DOT required vehicle licensure and physical.
• Must be between 25 and 74 years old per facility insurance requirements.
• Experience as a bus or van driver preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to and from activities, appointments, and outings with emphasis on safety and customer service.
• Monitor resident safety on the bus and during boarding/deboarding and building entry/exit.
• Maintain the vehicle including inspections, scheduled maintenance, and completing required paperwork.

Temporary Transportation Driver

Job Summary:

The Transportation Driver will provide the transportation of patients to and from hospitals, medical offices, dialysis centers and private residences in a safe, secure, and professional manner.

Essential Duties:

• Provides a high level of customer service and assistance while transporting residents to and from activities, appointments, and other outings in accordance with safety standards.
• Is responsible for the safety of residents at all times. Monitors resident safety on the bus, while boarding and departing the vehicle as well as the entrance and exit of buildings.
• Responsible for general upkeep of the vehicle including inspections, regularly scheduled maintenance, and all required paperwork.
