DuPagePads is seeking a Transportation Driver to safely and reliably transport individuals experiencing homelessness to employment, enrichment, and supportive services. The role directly supports engagement and access to essential resources.

The driver will report to the Education and Employment Director and work full-time, with vehicle provided by the agency. Candidates must have a valid license and a clean MVR, and be able to operate a large vehicle in daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License with acceptable MVR.
• Previous professional driving experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsabilités

• Operate as primary transportation support for individuals experiencing homelessness.
• Transport individuals to community events, workshops, and appointments.
• Plan safe and efficient transportation routes and schedules.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain passenger safety and report unsafe conditions.
• Complete transportation documentation in a timely manner.
• Participate in trainings, team meetings, and program activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position: Transportation Driver

Summary:
The primary function of the Transportation Driver is to safely and reliably transport individuals experiencing homelessness to and from employment, enrichment, and supportive services. This role directly supports engagement, and access to essential resources.

Reports To: Education and Employment Director

Classification Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

• Serves as primary transportation support for individuals experiencing homelessness.
• Transports individuals to community events, workshops, and agency-related appointments.
• Provides transportation during daytime hours.
• Plans safe and efficient transportation routes and schedules.
• Conducts pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintains passenger safety and reports unsafe conditions.
• Completes required transportation documentation in a timely manner.
• Participates in trainings, team meetings, and program activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of homelessness, poverty, and mental health preferred.

Education / Experience:
