Job summary

DuPagePads in Downers Grove, IL seeks a Transportation Driver to safely and reliably transport individuals experiencing homelessness to and from employment, enrichment, and supportive services. This role directly supports engagement and access to essential resources.

You will operate a large vehicle, plan routes, perform vehicle inspections, and complete transportation documentation. Must have a valid driver’s license with clean MVR; prior driving experience is preferred, and you must be able to

• Serves as primary transportation support for individuals experiencing homelessness.
• Transports individuals to community events, workshops, and agency-related appointments.
• Provides transportation during daytime hours.
• Plans safe and efficient transportation routes and schedules.
• Conducts pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintains passenger safety and reports unsafe conditions.
• Completes required transportation documentation in a timely manner.
• Participates in trainings, team meetings, and program activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Classification Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

• Serves as primary transportation support for individuals experiencing homelessness.
• Transports individuals to community events, workshops, and agency-related appointments.
• Provides transportation during daytime hours.
• Plans safe and efficient transportation routes and schedules.
