Job summary

Evolve Life Centers in Maryland is seeking a dedicated Transportation Specialist to operate a client transport vehicle on designated routes, ensuring safety and on-time performance. You will conduct daily vehicle inspections, maintain clean condition, complete transport records, and assist with routine tasks while upholding HIPAA confidentiality and professional interactions with clients and staff.

This full-time, on-site role runs Monday through Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm, with some Friday

Qualifications

• Current record (two years) of no felonies or substance abuse convictions.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be 25+ years old.
• One year of experience in the transportation of clients preferred.
• Adhere to confidentiality requirements as outlined in 42 CFR, Part 2. (HIPAA)
• Must have the ability to interact with staff and clients in a professional manner.
• Must have the ability to handle stressful and demanding situations, while maintaining exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of safe driving practices.
• Knowledge of basic first aid procedures and methods preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drives client transportation equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain appropriate client behavior in a transportation vehicle.
• Drives a transportation vehicle over assigned routes in accordance with an established time schedule.
• Maintains the transportation vehicle in a clean and orderly condition, and inspects and reports mechanical defects or malfunctions.
• Adheres to policies and procedures in maintaining appropriate client behavior.
• Completes the daily transportation activity record, including number of clients transported, mileage, type of trip, and standby time.
• Sweeps, cleans and refuels the transportation vehicle.
• Performs other related duties as required.
