Job summary

Calor Gas Ltd is seeking a Transport Compliance Specialist to join the Safety & Compliance team in the UK. This fixed-term, full-time role focuses on Operator Licence compliance, workshop standards, and carriage of dangerous goods.

You will audit sites, guide operational teams, analyze data, and mentor transport managers and HSSE colleagues, representing Calor during regulatory audits and inspections across the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport operations, workshop management, compliance or dangerous goods environments.
• Strong knowledge of Operator Licensing requirements and transport compliance legislation.
• Excellent analytical and auditing skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify risks and opportunities.
• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
• A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Ability to manage your own workload and priorities effectively.
• A passion for safety and a commitment to maintaining the highest operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert for transport compliance, fleet safety, workshop standards, and dangerous goods regulations.
• Conduct structured audits across Calor sites, identifying both best practice and opportunities for improvement.
• Support and guide operational teams to ensure compliance with Operator Licence undertakings, ADR and CDG regulations.
• Analyse compliance data and produce detailed audit reports, recommendations, and performance insights.
• Coach and mentor Transport Managers, Workshop Supervisors, HSSE colleagues and wider business stakeholders.
• Investigate compliance issues and system failures, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
• Work collaboratively with operational, fleet, safety and training teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Represent Calor during regulatory and Department for Transport audits and inspections.
