Job summary

UC San Diego's Department of Pathology invites applications for transplantation science faculty to join the Center for Transplantation Science. The appointment is at Associate or Full Professor level with a 50/50 Ladder Rank/50% In-Residence track or 100% Ladder Rank, depending on the candidate’s background and extramural funding.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent, an MD/PhD, or a PhD in Transplantation Research or relevant fields.
• MD or equivalent with clinical responsibilities must have or be eligible for a California medical license.
• Clinical responsibilities require board-eligibility or board-certification in Pathology or related field.
• Preferred: current research program in transplantation with extramural funding.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an independent, extramurally funded research program in transplantation science.
• Collaborate with other departments and provide training and teaching within the School of Medicine.
