Job summary

The University of California San Diego is seeking research faculty in transplantation science to join the Center for Transplantation Science. This role will develop and maintain an independent, extramurally funded program and collaborate across departments to advance immunology, cellular biology, and regenerative medicine related to transplantation.

Appointees may have 50/50 Ladder Rank/In-Residence duties or 100% Ladder Rank, with potential clinical effort in Laboratory and Genomic Medicine or

Qualifications

Candidates must have an MD or equivalent, an MD/PhD, or a PhD in Transplantation Research or relevant fields.
Candidates with clinical responsibilities must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
Candidates with clinical responsibilities must be board-eligible or board-certified in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain an independent, extramurally funded, and productive research program in transplantation science.
Collaborate with other Departments in the School of Medicine and provide high-quality training and teaching.
The opportunity exists for qualified individuals to have clinical effort in Laboratory and Genomic Medicine or Anatomic Pathology, particularly related to transplantation.
