Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an RN for the Transplant: Post Heart and Mechanical Circulatory Support program. This full-time role involves coordinating evaluation, donor processes, and postoperative care within a high‑intensity transplant unit in Winston‑Salem, NC.

Expect a 40-hour week with rotating on-call including weekends and holidays. RN license in NC required; BSN preferred with 5 years in cardiology or cardiothoracic settings; strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with a BSN required; five years' cardiology/cardiothoracic experience.
• Current RN license to practice in North Carolina; CCT or CPTC preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong organizational and administrative abilities; PC/spreadsheet/word processing proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and participate in patient evaluation and data sharing with transplant team.
• Educate patients and families about transplantation and ventricular assist devices.
• Coordinate preop preparation and inform staff of plan of care; document donor referrals and consult with surgeons.
