Job summary

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent and currently have or be eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Must meet UNOS requirements for primary living donor surgeon in kidney and liver donation.
• Independent in laparoscopic and/or robotic assisted living donor nephrectomy; expertise in laparoscopic, robotic-assisted kidney and pancreas transplantation.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and clinical teaching, including performing liver, kidney and pancreas transplantation.
• Inpatient and ambulatory care for pre- and post-transplant patients.
• Share transplant/deceased donor procurement call schedule and travel to outlying hospitals for multi-organ recoveries; transport organs to UVA.
