Qualifications

• MD and board certified in General Surgery.
• Fellowship training in Abdominal Transplant Surgery.
• ASTS certification or eligibility; licensed or eligible for Virginia licensure.
• Commitment to academic medicine, teaching, and scholarly activity.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, operative management, and longitudinal care of liver, kidney, pancreas, and multiorgan transplant patients.
• Perform transplant surgeries and postoperative management; participate in donor procedures.
• Lead and participate in medical student, resident, and fellow education; contribute to curriculum development.
• Engage in clinical/translational research and quality improvement within the transplant program.
