Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc. in Boston seeks a Transplant Practice Specialist to support a multidisciplinary team by managing patient appointment schedules, obtaining insurance approvals, and handling the main phone line.

You will register patients, update insurance data, coordinate with the Financial Coordinator, and triage calls to assist surgeons, hepatologists, nephrologists, infectious diseases, social workers and nutritionists across transplant services.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Responsabilidades

• Manage patient appointment scheduling for transplant services.
• Obtain referrals and insurance approvals for appointments; verify eligibility.
• Register patients and update insurance information at visits for accurate billing.
• Answer high-volume calls and triage per scripts; direct to appropriate provider.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team including surgeons, hepatologists, nephrologists, infectious diseases, social workers and nutritionists.
• Maintain patient information in Organ Transplant and Tracking Record database.
