Transplant Psychologist

Description

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine and the Emory Transplant Center are seeking a licensed/licensed-eligible clinical health psychologist to join the Transplant Behavioral Health program.

Primary roles include (1) pre- and post- surgical assessment, treatment planning and implementation of brief health psychology interventions for solid organ transplant candidates and recipients (inpatient and outpatient); (2) attendance in team meetings and selection conferences; (3) conducting individual and group therapy services for transplant candidates and recipients; (4) educating and training staff and supervising and teaching within the psychiatry residency and psychology training programs, (5) participating in research or quality improvement activities, and (6) contributing to the department and broader institution through service.

Applicants must have a doctorate in clinical psychology from an APA accredited graduate program, an APA accredited internship, and at least one-year supervised postdoctoral training. Applicants with administrative competencies, in addition to clinical, research, and teaching expertise, are encouraged to apply. Applications will be reviewed beginning immediately and will be accepted and reviewed until the position is filled. Experience with liver transplant and/or addiction populations is preferred.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
