Job Summary and Qualifications:

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with department standards and state regulations. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, compassionate care following established nursing models. You will advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying our organization’s mission and values to ensure excellent patient experiences and outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assess patient conditions during admission and shifts, reporting changes.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, and documentation as ordered.
  • Administer medications, monitor responses, and respond to adverse reactions.
  • Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate needs, and resolve issues.
  • Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatments, medications, and follow-up care, translating complex information as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current RN license in Texas or compact licensure.
  • Associate Degree required; BSN preferred with 12 months enrollment and completion within 24 months of hire.
  • Minimum of one year experience in a high-acuity PCU or critical care unit.
