Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Pharmacist with transplant pharmacotherapy experience to join the Pittsburgh team. The role includes reviewing prescriptions, ensuring safe and cost-effective therapies, and providing drug information to clinicians and patients.

The position requires a PharmD (or B.Pharm) and PA licensure within 120 days, with 1–3 years in transplant pharmacotherapy. Night shifts may require coordinating nightly duties and transplant-related care.

Qualifications

• PharmD or B.Pharm degree required.
• PA Pharmacist license or eligibility within 120 days of hire.
• 1–3 years experience in transplant pharmacotherapy.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions: perform prospective drug review and ensure safe, cost-effective therapy.
• Provide accurate drug information to health professionals, patients and the public.
• Assist manager in supervising pharmacy staff and inventory management.
• Support compliance with regulations and quality/safety initiatives.
• If Night Pharmacist, triage and coordinate nightly activities and transplant-related care.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D)
