Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a transplant nurse coordinator to provide nursing care, education and support to donors and candidates, both in hospital and in the community. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage waitlists, assess patients, and coordinate transplant readiness and care plans.

Minimum qualifications include a BSN, MA RN license, BLS, and you will pursue CCTC certification within one year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited school.
• Current, unrestricted Massachusetts RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) within 1 year of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Manages waitlisted patients with an organized tracking system and coordinates follow-up.
• Assesses patient conditions, communicates concerns, and coordinates care with teams.
• Coordinates listing and waitlist status changes and documents actions.
• Develops teaching tools for transplant candidates, recipients and donors.
• Collaborates with nursing leadership on policies and unit quality activities.
