University Health is seeking a dedicated nurse educator for the Organ Transplant program. This role provides direct patient education to transplant patients and helps develop patient education materials, acting as a clinical expert, educator, QA nurse, and outcome measure coordinator.

The position requires a BSN, with a Master’s preferred, and national transplant certification within one year. A minimum of five years nursing experience, including two in the related specialty, is expected.

Qualificações

• BSN is required.
• Masters degree is preferred.
• A national certification is required within 1 year of employment in the Transplant Program.
• Minimum of five years of full-time nursing experience with at least two years in related nursing specialty is required.
• Demonstration of experience in curriculum development and implementation of adult learning principles is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provides direct patient education to Organ Transplant patients and assists in developing patient education material.
• Serves as a clinical expert, educator, quality assurance nurse and outcome measure coordinator for assigned specialty.
• Functions in a team environment to provide support to clinical practice.
