Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking a part-time Transplant Coordinator for the IRP at University Hospital. The role coordinates transplant evaluations, reviews medical history, and manages education and follow-up in the post-transplant period.

The position requires a nursing degree, Ohio licensure, and experience in medical/surgical settings; CCTC certification or ability to obtain within 1 year is preferred. On-site with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of nursing.
• Current Ohio licensure.
• Prior medical/surgical experience required; intensive care, pulmonary, or transplant experience preferred.
• Current Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates all potential transplant patient evaluations and preliminary review of medical/surgical history and pre-op studies.
• Coordinates care needs and provides education, with follow-up during post-transplant period.
• Assists with coordinating and submitting annual statistics to national organizations and regulators.
• Serves as liaison for transplant surgeons, pulmonologists, consulting services and insurance representatives.
