Job summary

UCHealth in Aurora, CO seeks an experienced registered nurse for the Cell Therapy Clinic. The role provides nursing care before and after solid organ transplant and cellular therapies in an onsite, dayshift setting.

You will coordinate patient care with inpatient and outpatient teams, manage medications, educate patients, and triage issues as directed by providers. This is a full-time position requiring critical thinking in a fast-paced environment, with compensation $40.86–$63.33 per hour

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with state licensure.
  • 2 years of related transplant experience preferred; transplant coordination is a plus.
  • BSN is preferred.
  • BLS through AHA or Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer; card in hand before start date.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate transplant patient care with inpatient and outpatient multidisciplinary teams and regulatory bodies.
  • Manage patient medications per policies and procedures.
  • Triages patient issues and coordinates care with providers or per protocol.
  • Educate patients along the continuum about transplant processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

  • Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
  • Shift: Days
  • Pay: $40.86 - $63.33 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option

Summary:

Provides nursing care for patients before and after solid organ transplant and/or cellular therapies.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates care of transplant patients through collaboration with inpatient and outpatient multidisciplinary teams, pharmacies, community providers while following regulatory guidelines set forth by regulatory agencies.
  • Manages patient medications per policies and procedures.
  • Triages patient issues and facilitates coordination of patient care as directed by providers or per protocol.
  • Educates patients along the continuum to assist understanding of processes and procedures surrounding transplant care.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years experience. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • 2 years of experience in a related field of specialty. Preferred: Transplant coordination experience. Clinical care of transplant recipients.ADDITIONAL POSITION LEVEL REQUIREMENTS: ONS 90 days from transfer/hire
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card inhand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
