A family-owned automotive dealership is seeking a Transmission Technician Helper in Valdosta, GA. Langdale Ford is looking for our next Transmission Technician Helper. This is an exciting opportunity in a growing, fast-paced industry. Located in Valdosta Georgia, the Transmission Technician Helper role is a assistant to an Automotive Transmission Technician. Associates must be able to safely operate shop equipment and demonstrate the ability to learn and repeat basic transmission mechanical repairs. Individuals selected for this position receive hands on training by a Transmission Technician.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs transmission inspection.
• Advises service consultants of additional work.
• Check transmission fluids and check for proper transmission operation.
• Drain transmission fluids from transmission case. Add transmission fluids.
• Replace transmission fluid filters.
• Inspect all vehicles for additional repairs needed.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
• Prior experience as a lube tech, technician’s helper, or apprentice
• Valid driver’s license.
• Constant bending, reaching, standing, walking. Frequent carrying, kneeling, pushing, pulling.
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
