Job summary

Group 1 Automotive is seeking an experienced Transmission Technician in Pensacola, FL. You will perform vehicle repairs and specifically repair and rebuild transmissions, while recommending necessary services to maintain safe, reliable vehicles for customers.

As part of a Fortune 250 automotive leader, you will work with state-of-the-art equipment and certify Ford-specific requirements. A valid driver’s license and strong commitment to safety and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 yrs of Ford Automotive Technician experience preferred.
• ASE certification(s) or certification(s) in brakes, electrical/electronic systems or engine performance preferred.
• Tools based on your experience.
• Must have a Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle repairs.
• Repair and rebuild transmissions on a regular basis.
• Recommends needed and necessary service and repairs.
• Advises management of any damaged or unsafe equipment or tools.
• Safely drives vehicles on pre-established evaluation routes.
• Physically inspects vehicles and identify any defects.
• Performs assigned work in a safe manner per safety guidelines

• Performs vehicle repairs
• Repair and rebuild transmissions on a regular basis
• Recommends needed and necessary service and repairs
• Advises management of any damaged or unsafe equipment or tools
• Safely drives vehicles on pre-established evaluation routes 6
• Physically inspects vehicles and identify any defects
• Performs assigned work in a safe manner that is consistent with both federal, state, and manufacturer and Company safety guides
• Must be able to provide Ford certifications

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 yrs of Ford Automotive Technician experience preferred
• National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification(s) or certification(s) in: brakes, electrical/electronic systems or engine performance preferred
• Tools based on your experience
