Job summary

Cochran Cars in Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced transmission technician to join our team. You will perform repairs to engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and related components, using diagnostic tools and manufacturer standards.

We value teamwork, reliability, and strong flat-rate experience. Responsibilities include communicating with the Service Advisor, providing accurate time estimates, and maintaining a high standard of workmanship with a customer-first approach.

Qualifications

• We hire professionals with automotive service experience and a willingness to train new technicians.
• ASE certifications are ideal for this role.
• PA state inspection and emissions licenses are a huge plus.
• Strong automotive background with experience in flat-rate environments.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with a Service Advisor.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor to inform customers of additional needed services and estimate time for repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs

Qualifications

• ASE certifications are ideal
• PA state inspection and emissions licenses a huge plus
• Strong automotive background with experience working flat-rate
• Strong teamwork skills
• Candidate should have tools necessary for the duties of the position
