Job summary

Bill Brandt Ford, Inc in Brentwood, California is seeking a Ford Certified Service Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has ASE and Ford certifications and a solid service technician background to diagnose and repair vehicles efficiently.

You will perform work on repair orders, test-drive vehicles, use diagnostic tools, and communicate with the Service Advisor about additional repairs and timing.

Qualifications

• ASE and Ford certifications required.
• 2+ years service technician experience preferred.
• Experience at Ford dealership preferred.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer service and basic computer skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform work on repair orders efficiently and per dealership guidelines.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components using diagnostic tools.
• Repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, brakes, HVAC.
• Communicate repair needs and time estimates to customers via Service Advisor.
• Complete warranty repairs per manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership

• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.

• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs

• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred

• Previous experience at a Ford dealership is preferred

• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies

• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve

• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment

• Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively

• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
