The role centers on leading advanced EMT analyses, modeling inverter‑based resources, and ensuring grid reliability in planning and operation contexts. Responsibilities include guiding junior engineers, coordinating with utilities and regulators, and delivering technical reports and proposals.
This is a Technical Leader position for an Engineer to support R&D projects related to EMT Studies & Power System Analysis. The candidate will be responsible for leading and executing advanced electromagnetic transient (EMT) studies to support the planning, design, integration, and operation of electric power systems. The role provides technical expertise in transient analysis, inverter‑based resource integration, system stability, and grid reliability assessments for transmission networks.
EPRI is committed to complying with the regulatory framework governing export control, consisting of international treaties, U.S. laws, regulations and trade sanctions, and where applicable, foreign laws governing export control. These include the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Part 810 nuclear export regulations, and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
