Job summary

AAMCO Transmissions and Total Car Care in Chesapeake, VA is seeking an Automotive Transmission Rebuilder to diagnose, rebuild and repair transmission systems to specifications. Knowledge of electrical and computer systems is a plus.

You will explain diagnoses to customers and teammates, remove and reinstall transmissions, assist other technicians, and stay current with evolving automotive technology while maintaining an organized service department.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience as an Automotive Transmission Rebuilder.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• ASE certifications a plus.
• Own professional grade tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, rebuild and repair automotive transmission systems to specifications- knowledge of electrical and computer systems is a plus
• Explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include other teammates and customers as required
• Remove and Reinstall Transmission systems
• Assist other technicians in performing technical activities
• Continuously learns new technical information and techniques informal training session in order to stay abreast with the rapidly changing automotive technology
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized service department

Job Requirements
