Job summary

AAMCO Transmissions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Automotive Transmission Rebuilder to diagnose, rebuild and repair transmission systems to exact specifications. You will work with a team to identify issues and implement durable solutions.

You must have at least 5 years in transmission rebuilding, own professional tools, hold a valid driver’s license, and be comfortable explaining technical details to customers and teammates. ASE certification is a plus.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5+ years’ experience as an Automotive Transmission Rebuilder.
Hold a valid driver’s license.
Own professional grade tools.
Experience with mechanical diagnosis and transmission rebuilding.
ASE certifications are a plus.
Ability to communicate solutions to others.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, rebuild and repair automotive transmission systems to specifications.
Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
Remove and Reinstall Transmission systems.
Assist other technicians in performing technical activities.
Continuously learns new technical information and techniques to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.
Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
Maintains an organized service department.
