Job summary

Energy Erectors, Inc. (EEI) is seeking a Transmission Operator to operate heavy jobsite equipment and support transmission construction projects.

The role involves performing safe operations, maintenance checks, and assisting with digging around utilities in various locations. The position requires a high school diploma, 2 years of experience, a valid driver’s license, and preferred OSHA 10 and crane certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Current and valid crane certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate jobsite equipment safely, such as cranes, bulldozers, loaders, excavators, and other construction equipment.
• Work safely while performing construction, maintenance or repair on energized or de-energized lines.
• Conduct service, safety checks, and minor repairs on machines; check oil and fluids.
• Inspect work area to ensure proper staking/locating before digging.
• Assist laborers or maintenance crew when not operating equipment.
• Dig around live utilities, both underground and overhead.
• Train or oversee lower graded operators and laborers when needed.
• Comply with safety standards per MasTec or customer requirements.
• Load trucks safely and efficiently.
• Suggest improvements to operations to reduce turnaround times and improve service quality.
• Perform other duties as required.
